Contributing photographer to the following development projects:

From the first grainy Heliograph images in the 19th Century to the 4K ultra HD images of today photography has been used to tell stories. Some images have had the power to change global opinion positively (for example Kevin Carter's pictures of the Sudan famine in the 90s which galvanized the international community to action). However, photography of the developing world has been criticized for "poverty porn" which has been described as "exploiting the poor’s condition in order to generate the necessary sympathy for selling newspapers or increasing charitable donations or support for a given cause" (AidThoughts.com). While the ethics of this kind of photography rages, as a photographer from the developing world, I am committed to the following principles in the photos I take:

1. Treating all subjects with dignity

2. Telling true and holistic stories

3. Obtaining of informed consent

4. Protection of children
